Process A great advantage of using BENEBION process to sterilize your food products is that the treatment is administered in the final packaging of the product. This means that the packaging and the packaging process is included in the food safety that BENEBION provides.
To administer such treatment, microbial load is determined in order to evaluate the required doses. The product is then packaged according to our customers specification and palletized. Upon arrival at the plant, the product passes through our treatment system on automated conveyors and ionizing radiation
is received over the course of several hours depending on dose.
Dose is tightly monitored using a state of the art dosimetry system that assures that our customers quality goals have been met. Upon treatment, BENEBION staff issues a certificate of treatment and the shipment can proceed directly to its final destination without additional packaging steps.
Because of its efficacy, quarantine storage after treatment is not required by international and national standards.
